The Diabetes Puzzle: How Metabolism and Hormones Shape Your Health
Join us for an insightful workshop presented by Cynthia Ziebell, a passionate Diabetes Nurse Educator dedicated to supporting people living with diabetes.
This session will explore digestion and how it differs with diabetes, along with the pathophysiology of Type 2 diabetes—highlighting that it’s more than just insulin resistance and how hormones are involved.
Gain a clear understanding of non-modifiable factors like age, genetics, and ethnicity, versus modifiable influences such as diet, exercise, stress, and high GI foods, plus key metabolic risks for women.
