Balance for Life: Strength, Stability & Falls Prevention
What if maintaining your independence, confidence and mobility as you age came down to a few key movement habits? Lisa is an experienced Exercise Physiologist and movement educator who helps people do exactly that—build strength, improve balance and move with confidence through tailored, evidence-based exercise.
With extensive experience in private practice and advanced training in Clinical Pilates, Lisa specialises in prescribing the right exercise at the right time to support lasting change and better health outcomes. She also works closely with many people living with osteoporosis and osteopenia, with a strong understanding of the importance of targeted, progressive exercise for building and maintaining healthy bones.
A member of Exercise and Sports Science Australia, she works across a broad range of conditions including chronic pain, injury rehabilitation, cardiac, neurological conditions, invisible illnesses and healthy ageing. Her approach is grounded in the belief that exercise is medicine, with a strong focus on strength, balance, bone health, mobility and overall wellbeing.
This presentation, Balance for Life, highlights practical strategies for improving balance, reducing falls risk and supporting bone health to maintain independence as we age. It also introduces Balance for Life classes, designed to help people stay strong, steady and active for life.
